Nothing is impossible

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen," Hebrews 11:1.

To the believer in Christ,

Let's for a moment step out of the arena of the tangible into the realm where God lives... "calling those things that are not as though they are" (Romans 4:17). Now I'm not talking about stepping out into ridiculous, vain imaginations. I'm speaking about becoming impregnated with the dreams of God, and working with Him to give them birth.

If you are like many people, you've pushed God-implanted desires off to the side because they seemed to be so far beyond your ability to produce. That's the beauty of walking in the "God realm." Everything purely from this realm is beyond your ability to produce. In the God realm faith becomes "substance" and "evidence" of things that were previously only hoped for.

Faith is the key that unlocks all that God has provided for you in Christ Jesus. Without faith it is impossible to please Him (Heb. 11:6). In fact, anything you do that is not of faith is sin (Romans 14:23). This may seem a little harsh. It is important, however, to understand a little bit about where faith comes from and how it works.

Faith works by love (Galatians 5:6) and God is love. In other words, faith flows from knowing Him. Many people know about God, but the Biblical definition of faith requires an investment of your life in Him. It's difficult to invest your live into something you've only heard about. It's easy however to give yourself freely to someone you have learned to know and trust over time. Everything in God's Kingdom works by faith. This is because He wants you to deepen your relationship with Him. To not have faith is to doubt His character...to be unwilling to unite with Him.

Faith is the great equalizer among men. We are not created equally in terms of intelligence, talent, or social or economic freedom. We have however, all been bid to come. He gives each of us a measure of faith, as a gift, and calls us to invest it into knowing Him. The more you do this, the greater your faith will grow. The simplest child can have the greatest faith. The poorest among us can move mighty mountains (James 2:5). Nothing is impossible to the one who will take God at His Word. No Word from Him is hard to believe when you know Him. So the one who knows Him cannot help but do impossible things. Selah!

Until God graces me to share again,

Randall Paul Pipes
