Life's Daily Challenge Devotional

God will keep you

“Now to Him Who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen," Jude 24-25.

Read Jude 24-25; Psalm 121:3-5; Psalm 91

Dear secure one,

God promises to keep me. He does a perfect job of protecting all that is in Christ. He will not allow my foot to be moved. He provides a way for me to stay on the path of life, in spite of my failures and shortcomings and in spite of the enemy’s attempts to destroy me.

God’s ways are not my natural ways. He holds me fast in surroundings void of earthly peace and security. His Spirit calls me again and again to abandon my human reasoning. A thousand may fall on one side and ten thousand on the other. Pestilence and destruction may be all around. My reasoning and fear may be screaming for control. I may stumble and fall.

The Lord continues to order my footsteps. He knows my heart. Things unsurrendered are challenged. My false securities are removed. My weakness extends to me Divine strength. Broken self-reliance causes me to search for deeper intimacy with Him. My failures teach me a deeper grace and make me more aware of His endless love. He triumphs in the best and the worst that I offer Him. He redeems the good, as well as bad, and exchanges them for the Divine. Each is a victory that brings greater faith because I have made the Lord my habitation.

Until God graces me to share again,

Randall Paul Pipes
