Vision and creativity

“Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness...” Genesis 1:26.

Dear creative one,

God is the Creator. God created man in His own image and likeness. Man is therefore a creator. God, wishing to commune with man, imparted this gift so that His nature might be shared between people. He desires to express Himself through the creative spirit of a man or woman united with His Spirit. His motivation is love. He wants to share His love with the world by making our hearts His art studio. As He creates through our hearts, He reveals Himself. In this way, He is glorified, and people are blessed. When men or women yield their hearts to God, this is true worship.

Satan is the counterfeiter. Through deception, he works to mask man from the truth of God. He does not wish to commune with man. He uses people so he can dominate and rule through them. In doing so, his nature is also expressed...hate, deception, doubt, and fear. He wants to rule in the place of God, by sitting in God's art studio. He wants us to give him the worship that belongs to God.

We create each day. Our creations are either an expression of the heart of God or of the nature of satan. Each day our lives paint, sculpt, write, sing, dance... through our words, our theologies, philosophies, our attitudes, and our actions. The medium that we compose our creations upon is the heart and mind of the people around us each day. Our creations either declare that there is a loving, merciful, forgiving heavenly Father, or they deny these same truths. When we create for God we find purpose.

The choice is yours today. Will you allow God to use your life. Will you consciously yield your life to Him so He can creatively express Himself through you? Will you allow Him to teach you new ways to glorify His name. Your life is an artist's studio. The Master Creator is waiting to give you lessons. He will show you the unique tools that He has placed within you and give you specific insight into how to use each one. If you take lessons long enough, people will take one look at your work and immediately know who your Teacher is. All that you create will express the influence of the Master Creator.
