Sowing to your vision
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that will he also reap,” Galatians 6:7.
To the spiritual farmer,
The Master has called you to work with His Spirit. By uniting what He has given you with faith, you can watch your vision grow before your eyes. Many people fail to see their harvest because they focus on what they don’t seem to have. They take inventory of their talents and resources and assume they don’t have enough to see their vision come to pass. They see their own need and hold back in fear. What they don’t understand, is that what they do possess is seed. As small and insignificant as it may seem, inside resides great power. Once planted, a seed never yields one seed in return. Each seed planted multiplies, giving back many more. Some can be eaten, and many more can be invested back into the earth for a greater return of seed.
Each seed God gives you has greater potential than you might realize. When sown, it can produce multiplied seeds after its own kind. Each one of them, grown to full maturity has an abundant harvest within it. Some people look at an acorn and see only a seed. Some with greater vision see a tree. Those who truly see the big picture, look at it, and see an entire forest.
A seed that is never planted is a seed robbed of purpose. God’s original commission to man was to be fruitful and multiply on the face of the earth. It is the same for you today. You must be careful that your need does not cause you to withhold your seed. Any good farmer knows that the vision he has for future crops requires him to plant what he has. Your seed will do you no good until you let it go. This releases God to multiply back to you.
As you visualize the harvest you someday hope to possess, you’ve got to see what God sees. What you possess, whether little or much, must not be seen as the end materials needed to produce your vision. They are actually far better than this! Each possession that you yield to God becomes a seed waiting to be exponentially multiplied. Viewing them as possessions for your vision will rob you of their power. You will guard them, and hold them fast, attempting to speed your way to your intended destination. Viewing them as seed, however will allow you the freedom to release them to God’s control. It might take a few seasons of sowing and reaping, but each season will give you a multiplied return for your next planting. Cooperating with God’s law of sowing and reaping will ultimately lead you to a destination beyond what you envisioned. God is not mocked!
Until God graces me to share again,
